  • Multiple nodular solid circumscribed tumours are seen.
  • The cut surfaces are whorled.
  • The outline of the uterus is not clear as it merges with the tumour tissue.

 

  • Diagnosis - Leiomyoma.

Submucosal

Intramural

Subserosal

How could they present clinically?

Submucosal - menorrhagia and metrorrhagia

Intramural and subserosal - mass in the abdomen, subfertility

If located lower down in the uterus, they may present with dyspareunia

Sometime these could be clinically silent and are detected radiologically
