  • 67 years old male with hypertension.
  • This is an enlarged kidney opened longitudinally.
  • The surface shows some lobulations and depressions; the latter could be due to scarring.
  • There is blurring of cortico-medullary demarcation.
  • There are minute haemorrhages mostly at the cortico-medullary junction.
  • However typical flea-bitten appearance is not seen.
