H.6.1 Renal Infarct
- The kidney is bisected longitudinally.
- The outer surface shows pale yellow colour patchy areas in both halves.
- The periphery of these areas appears reddish black due to congestion and haemorrhagic.
- Cut surface of the left half shows a prominent wedge shaped infracted area in the cortex.
- The apex of the infarct is pointing towards the medulla.
- The periphery appears reddish black due to congestion and haemorrhage.
- This could probably be due to an embolus.
