H.5.13 Renal cell carcinoma
- 63 years old female presented with haematuria and anorexia of 2 months.
- Examination revealed a renal mass.
- Weight of the mass was 1.3kg.
- Enlarged kidney.
- The outer surface is nodular.
- The cut surface shows a solid tumor with a variegated appearance.
- There are areas of hemorrhage (black coloured), pale areas of fibrosis and cystic areas.
- Necrotic areas are also noted.
- Normal renal tissue is not seen in this cut surface.
