- A longitudinally sectioned kidney.
- The outer surface appears smooth.
- There is a large thin walled cyst in the lower middle part of the kidney towards the periphery.
- The cavity of the cyst contains mucoid substance.
- The cortex appears to be thinned out and show fibrous streaking.
- The medulla appears normal.
- The calyces appear normal.
- This cyst may be an incidental finding.
