- The surface is irregular and shows scarring.
- Cut surface: The cortex and medulla are irregular, thinned out and shows white fibrous streaking.
- The renal pelvis and calyces appear dilated.
- A single staghorn calculus is present embedded in the renal pelvis and the calyces.
- Fatty tissue appears increased within the renal pelvis.
