- Surface of the kidney shows perirenal fat.
- Cut surface shows a calculus 4 cm x 2 cm occupying mainly the pelvis and its projections fitting well into the calyces.
- The kidney architecture is distorted.
- The cortico medullary demarcation is lost.
- The pelvis is dilated and contains gray- black, material.
