- Both kidneys show marked surface scarring.
- There is marked reduction of the renal tissue mass.
- The right kidney is markedly distorted.
- The pelvis is grossly enlarged.
- Cut surface shows a smooth inner surface.
- The calyces and the uterus are also dilated.
- The demarcation of cortex and medulla is poor.
