N.1.4 Osteogenic sarcoma

  • Upper limb of a child showing a very large growth involving the entire thickness and length of the upper arm.
  • The cut surface is pink in colour.
  • Minute haemorrhagic areas are visible.
  • Overlying skin in intact.

Histology: Spindle cell tumour with osteoid production confirming the diagnosis of the osteogenic sarcoma.
