I.1.6 Non Hodgkin’s lymphoma involving the testis

  • The specimen is from 73 year old male patient who presented with a history of cough and haemoptysis of one month duration, bilateral testicular swellings, an epigastric mass and splenomegaly.
  • The specimen shows a testicular mass and a part of the vas deference.(Wt: 600g)
  • The specimen is cut sagitally and the cut surface appears pale and homogenous with hemorrhagic and cystic foci especially at the margin.
  • Differential diagnosis:
    1. Seminoma
    2. Teratoma
    3. Lymphoma
  • Histology confirmed as non Hodgkin lymphoma.
