C.1.4 Lymphoblastic leukemia
- 13 years old boy, presented with continuous fever, hepato-splenomegally, lymphadenopathy and per rectal bleeding.

Specimen consists of:
- Tongue
- Oesophagus
- Trachea
- Both lungs
- Heart & mediastinum
Tongue
- Appears normal.
- Tonsils are enlarged but smooth.
Oesophagus
- Appears normal.
- There are peticheal haemorrhages in the mucosa.
Lungs
- Appears normal in size.
- The hilar lymph nodes are enlarged.
- Cut surface shows normal appearance.
- There are few whitish black deposits over the surface of pleura.
Heart
- Normal in size.
- There are petechial haemorrhages on the pericardium.
- Cut surface appears normal.
Mediastinum
- Shows irregular large mass.
- Cut surface shows irregular haemorrhagic areas in-between.
