- It appears somewhat shrunken in size, and gives the impression of being hard.
- The surface is diffusely studded with nodules of varying size, some very small and others big about 0.5 cm to 1 cm in diameter.
- In the right lobe the nodules are smaller and less defined giving the impression that the cirrhotic stage may have started later in the right lobe.
