O.4.2 Meckel’s diverticulum

• This is a specimen of a portion of small intestine.
• Has a pedunculated globular mass attached to it.
• The surface of it has pale and dark haemorrhagic areas.

Differential Diagnosis:

1. A Pedunculated benign tumour of the small intestine
2. Mass of lymph nodes in mesentery
