O.3.1 Mesenteric lymphadenopathy
- This is a Specimen of small intestine with the mesentery
- There is a large pale growth about 8 cm in diameter.
- The surface is nodular and shows some blackish areas which may be haemorrhagic.
- The mesentery itself appears grossly thickened.
- The growth appears to be jutting into the lumen, causing a constriction of the lumen.
Differential diagnosis:
- Secondaries in lymph nodes
- Lymphoma
