O.2.5 Carcinoma of the ileo-caceal junction
- Specimen of lower part of ileum, ileocaceal junction and part of ascending colon.
- A solid growth is seen to arise from the ileo-caceal junction occluding the lumen.
- Spread to the ileum and colon is seen.
- Some areas have a translucent appearance.
- Small area of haemorrhage and necrosis can be seen.
