J.2.2 Adenocarcinoma arising in the background of gastric atrophy
- The stomach is cut open longitudinally.
- There is large rubbery mass, white in colour, ulcerating at one area and extending on to the serosal surface.
- The proximal stomach is dilated with loss of rugae pattern and thinning of the wall (specimen is mounted upside down).
