K.8.9 Ruptured tubal pregnancy

  • The specimens are of both fallopian tubes.
  • The left fallopian tube appears to be distended by fluid with adhesion of the fimbrial end- hydrosalpinx.
  • The right fallopian tube shows distension near the distal end by haemorrhagic, necrotic mass of tissue showing areas of chorionic villi.
  • Perforation seems to have taken place via the lower portion.
