K.8.11 Ectopic/ tubal pregnancy
- From a 34 years old female with a history of left side abdominal pain for 3 days duration.
- POA – 6 week.
- No bleeding PV.
- The specimen is that of the ovary, and fallopian tube.
- The ovary is situated on the top of the specimen.
- It shows an enlarged corpus luteum cyst (the lining of which appear yellow probably the theca lutein layer)
- The fallopian tube appears to be distended by blood clot and few chorionic villi but the fallopian tube does not show rupture or perforation of its wall.
- The fimbriae are seen towards the left side of the specimen.
