K.8.2 Ruptured ectopic pregnancy

• A tubo – ovarian mass seen on the left side.
• Containing villi form tissue and surrounding blood clot.
• This is a tubal gestation with rupture.
• The right ovary is cystic.
• The uterus is cut open to show a thickened myometrium.
• Histology confirmed chorionic villi seen in the left tube. Uterus showed a decidual reaction.
