K.5.4 Carcinoma of the cervix

  • Outer surface together with ovary and tube appear normal.
  • Uterine wall is thickened and the lumen was filled with blood.
  • Lower part of the lumen has been obliterated by the thickening of the wall.
  • There is a fairly well circumscribed pale mass of tissue containing areas of haemorrhage in the cervical canal.
  • This mass ends at the external cervical os.
  • Histology from the uterus and cervix showed a well differentiated invasive squamous carcinoma.
