K.5.2 Adenocarcinoma of the cervix
- From a female aged 30 years.
- The specimen contains Uterus, cervix, part of the vagina with and internal iliac nodes.
- Uterus seems to be slightly bulky.
- The cut surface shows haemorrhagic areas over the endometrium which seem to be involving part of the myometrium.
- Cervix appears to be bulky.
- On the extreme left side there is ulceration
- Ovaries show no abnormality except for a few small cysts seen on cut section
- The vaginal cuff appears to be normal. The lymph node appears to be pale white in colour on cut section.
- Histology showed Adenocarcinoma of the cervix infiltrating the body of the uterus and left internal iliac nodes.
