K.4.10 Endometriosis cyst of the ovary

• A cut opened cyst with an atrophic ovary and fallopian tube, with its fimbrial end.
• All the structures are attached to each other.
• The surface of the cyst is smooth.
• On the cut section, the wall of the cavity appears thick and irregular, with minute cysts in the wall, some of which are haemorrhagic.
• The cyst contains altered blood.
