K.1.15 Krukenberg’s tumour of ovary
- A 55 years old women with Progressive jaundice, Anorexia, Loss of weight.
- At laparotomy:
1) Mild ascites, Multiple pinpoint deposits in parietal peritoneum.
2) Omental mass involving large bowel and probably gall bladder and duodenum.
3) Bilateral ovarian tumours
- Ovaries appear as enlarged lobulated masses. Specks of haemorrhage seen over the surface
- Histology of ovarian tumour showed Adenocarcinoma which in some areas show evidence of mucin secretion.
