V.2.1 Antoimmune thyroiditis
- The specimen appears solid, nodular and whitish in colour.
- The whole gland is diffusely affected but the nodules vary in size.
- It gives the impression that the gland has initially hypertrophied and subsequently fibrosed and shrunk.
