D.3.7 Small cell lung carcinoma with multiorgan metastases
Clinical history of the patient:-
- 62 year old man with loss of appetite for one month and constipation for three months.
- Tender abdomen.
- Past history of tuberculosis
- Died suddenly.
Specimen:
1) Left lower specimen - Apex of the lung with thick pleura. Focus of small cell carcinoma.
2) Right lower specimen – Hilar tissue with metastases.
3) Upper left specimen – second rib with metastases.
4) Upper middle – Spleen with metastases.
5) Upper right - Adrenal glands with metastases.
